Harmony School opens
Harmony School opens for students 12 to 18 years old at 315 N. Grant St, offering classes with four students.

Harmony moves to University Lutheran Church.

Harmony’s first graduate is accepted at Indiana University.

Harmony opens Harmony Elementary School.
Harmony has secondary enrollment of 25 and opens Harmony Elementary School with 25 6-to-11 year olds at St. Thomas Lutheran Church.

Harmony establishes the Annual Golf Outing, in honor of Miles Kanne and Gene Flander, benefiting the Miles Kanne Scholarship Fund.

Harmony hosts the first annual Holiday Follies.
1983
Harmony Secondary moves to Elm Heights School Building.
This move is to share rented space in the building with United Way, Head Start and various Community Action Program (CAP) agencies
1985
Harmony School Corp acquires ownership of Elm Heights building.
Harmony School Corp acquires ownership of Elm Heights building for $10 through the generosity of the Monroe County School Corp. Harmony enrollment is 90 students with 10 teachers. All teachers and students contribute one dime to pay MCCSC for building.
1986
Harmony enrollment increases
Enrollment is increased to 115 and for the first time all Harmony programs are under one roof
1987
The first Harmony yearbook is published
The rhino sculpture comes to Harmony School
1990
Harmony Education Center is established
Harmony School Corp starts doing business under the name Harmony Education Center and starts two new divisions of Harmony: Outreach Division to support public school reform, and an Institute for Research at Indiana University
1991
Cold Spring Academy is started
Harmony helps start Cold Spring Academy, a public school in Indianapolis
Lilly Endowment two-day inaugural event
The Lilly Endowment funds a two-day inaugural event for Harmony Education Center at Indiana Memorial Union for 30 state education leaders

Rhino’s Youth Center
Harmony Education Center starts Rhino’s Youth Center, originally housed in the Knights of Columbus building at 4th St. and Walnut St.

Early Childhood Program is established
Harmony starts Early Childhood Program for children 3 to 5 years old. Total enrollment for all Harmony programs increases to 140.
Cymon Paidle’s Window was designed and built

An endowment for Harmony (Ed Lewis Fund) is set up at Brown County Community Foundation
