Elm Heights Alumni

In 1985, the public school system demonstrated its support by selling to Harmony, for ten dollars, the 25,000 sq. ft. historic Elm Heights school building. The renovation of this historic building allowed Harmony to house its entire program under one roof for the first time in its history. We love learning about the history of the building from Elm Heights alumni and from long-time residents of the Elm Heights neighborhood.

In 2018, the Elm Heights Elementary School Alumni Committee formed and raised funds to dedicate the Harmony Middle School Science and Art room (formerly Mrs. Daniels’s room) after Tom Showers Teter. Tom attended Elm Heights Elementary School and University High School (class of 1961). He passed away in 2014 after a distinguished career as a public high school science teacher.
